Commitment

NUS Health is designed to fit into a busy professional routine. While your Oura Ring tracks your activity automatically in the background, you will need to sync the ring daily and complete a quick, 1-minute well-being questionnaire daily. In addition, every 6 months you will be required to undergo blood and urine tests, continuous glucose monitor, alongside function and physical assessments.

We require participants to wear the ring for a minimum of 20 hours daily. You should wear it for as much of the 24-hour day as is practical, removing it only for charging or during specific activities where the ring might be damaged or cause injury (such as lifting heavy objects or contact sports).

Every 6 months, you will undergo blood and urine tests as well as functional assessments, to establish and track your biological baseline and progress. These checkpoints are scheduled in advance to minimise disruption to your workday.

Upon collecting your Oura Ring, you will sign a loan form. If you choose to withdraw from the study at any point, you will be required to return the ring within 2 weeks of your withdrawal date. If you have received ballot tickets, they will expire on the date of your withdrawal.

If you tender your resignation during the study, your participation will be discontinued. You will need to return your assigned Oura Ring to the study team. There will not be any penalty or loss of incentives already gained, but all existing ballot tickets will be forfeited for upcoming ballots upon the date of withdrawal. Any data collected during your active participation will be retained for final analysis.

Please report the loss immediately to the team at nushealth@nus.edu.sg. You will also be required to lodge an official police report and email a copy to the team and we will assist you with the next steps.
